Harberton Mens Lunch 18th November 2006
In aid of Children’s Hospice South West, Little Bridge House
The second Harberton Mens lunch was held at The Church House Inn with an
attendance of 35 people all from the parish of Harberton.
Everyone enjoyed the carvery and wine and conversation flowed well into the
afternoon.
During the afternoon a prize draw was held with excellent prizes which had been
donated by local business. Weekend break at Tuckenhay Paper Mill. Dinner for two
at Rumour, Totnes. Dinner for two at The Church House Harberton. A golf day at
Stover Golf Club and many bottle prizes.
The end result was that we raised an amazing £760 which more than doubled the
first lunch held in January 2006.
The following Saturday The Harberton Ladies held their annual lunch also at The
Church House Inn with an attendance of 50 ladies.
During the afternoon they had a collection and raised an incredible £265.
With both events Harberton has been able to raise £1025 excluding the gift aid
I would like to thank everyone who has helped this to be yet another very
successful fund raising event for the children at Little Bridge House,
Barnstaple.
