Malcolm Patey was born in Harberton at Westleigh Barton and has worked on the family farm all his life, rearing dairy herds and beef stock. In 1995, Malcolm extended into pig farming and has successfully reared sows in a free range, outdoor system where the pigs are kept in large straw yards.

The pigs are slaughtered at Tom Lang's in Ashburton where they are hand-produced into sausages and packed on their approved premises. The sausages are made with natural skins.
