Harberton Parish Hall - HALL Plan

(with apologies for the mediocre quality of the following graphics)

The main hall is about 10.25 x 16.65 metres and contains a full-height badminton court with approved badminton quality lighting. Low-level wall-mounted spotlights, 5 along each side and 2 at the far end (right), offer an alternative form of lighting for a more intimate atmosphere, helping to lose the high roof.
The entrance porch (at the left of the picture) leads into a hallway with the Meeting Room (sliding doors, not lockable) and store cupboard (chairs, stage etc.) on the left, and stairs, disabled toilet and kitchen (with serving hatch to hall) on the right.

FIRST FLOOR

Upstairs is a viewing gallery (where up to 20 persons are permitted for concerts etc.), the main toilets / changing rooms / showers, and a storage cupboard (locked - Youth Club property).

Acoustics

Major folk concerts featuring some of the top acts in the country have shown that the hall has good acoustics for musical events, with or even without a PA system.

Noise

Experience has shown that the construction of the Hall does not render it suitable for loud music featuring heavy bass sounds ("techno", "rave", "modern" etc.) due to the proximity of houses. Accordingly, no bookings involving such music can be accepted.
