Harberton is an attractive, unspoilt village with 14th cent. pub (Church House Inn, good food), surrounded by farmland 2 and a half miles from Totnes and the River Dart. Nearest sea at Paignton, 10 miles, or Blackpool Sands, 13. The southern fringe of Dartmoor, 6 miles.

Pilgrims Cottage is a pretty mid-terrace cottage with 16th cent. origins recently and thoughtfully refurbished to a high standard in the centre of the village. Once a farm worker's cottage, it is heavily beamed (some low) with wonderful thick walls and traditional stone work. Inside, comfortable, decorated in warm and sunny colours. Small porch (ideal for wellies and coats) leads straight into a split-level living/dining room with comfortable sofas, CD/cassette/radio and woodburner underneath massive stone lintel. Oak fitted kitchen (washing machine, microwave) with door to back garden. Small downstairs twin bedroom (2’6” beds). Stairs up to two further bedrooms which both look out over the front garden - a double and a twin. So three bedrooms in all. Small, efficient bathroom (suite, plus bath-shower). Outside, small, enclosed cottage garden at the front with bench (ideal for watching village life) and, to the back of the cottage, a patio (table/chairs, barbecue) and lawned area. A good central place to stay at any time of year. Heating and electricity included. No pets. No smoking.
